Integrative Psychiatry Services

To start healing, we need to pause, reflect and reclaim the basics: wholesome nutrition, nourishing movement, simply breathing and restful sleep.

I believe in a holistic approach to mental health care, integrating conventional psychiatry with complementary modalities and personalized lifestyle interventions. By addressing the root causes of distress and fostering sustainable well-being, I empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives and reclaim what truly matters most.

My Areas of Focus:

  • Anxiety Disorders

  • Depression

  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Trauma-Related Disorders

  • Substance Use Disorders

  • Gender Dysphoria and Identity Exploration

  • Peer and Family Relational Challenges

  • Racial/Cultural Identity, Acculturation and Discrimination

*Of note, I am trained in the full spectrum of psychiatric illness, and I treat other symptoms/conditions (not listed above) as well.

My Treatment Modalities

  • I utilize conventional psychiatric medication when indicated, focusing on a conservative approach with the lowest effective doses necessary to minimize side effects while optimizing benefits. My goal is to integrate medication management into a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses the underlying causes of distress and promotes sustainable well-being.

  • I provide personalized guidance on natural supplements and herbal remedies to support mental health and overall well-being. As a benefit of working with me, you will have full discounted access to my professional grade online natural supplements dispensary, ensuring you are receiving the full therapeutic benefit without any unknown contaminants. This holistic approach complements conventional treatment modalities, aiming to catalyze your body's natural healing process for enduring mental wellness. I will actively monitor and avoid any potentially dangerous interactions between your medications and nutraceuticals.

  • Research consistently shows that treatment is most effective with a combination of both medication and psychotherapy. I’ve been trained in multiple therapy styles: strengthening self-confidence (Supportive), challenging problematic beliefs (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), preparing for change (Motivational Interviewing), improving social relationships (Interpersonal), and digging deeper into the subconscious (Intensive Short-term Dynamic Psychotherapy). Drawing from these varied approaches, I tailor sessions to meet your unique needs. Through the process, I support you in exploring and addressing the underlying issues, developing coping skills, and fostering personal growth. Additionally, if desired, you are welcome to invite parents/family members into sessions to help facilitate relational healing.

  • The choices we make each day have a profound impact on our physical and mental health. I offer support for helping you live in alignment with your core values, fostering sustainable habits, and promoting holistic wellness. We will work collaboratively to develop lifestyle strategies to enhance your overall well-being, including mindfulness, nutrition, movement, and sleep–some of which are described in more detail below.

  • Decades of robust research have demonstrated the powerful impact of consistent mindfulness practices in improving well-being. Through techniques such as breathing exercises, meditation, visualization, journaling, and dance, I will help you cultivate mindfulness and presence in your daily life. We may practice some of these techniques together during our sessions, though continuing to engage in ongoing practice outside of our sessions will likely provide the most benefit. These practices will enable you to develop greater awareness, reduce stress, and enhance your overall quality of life.

  • “Let food be thy medicine.” - Hippocrates, 400 B.C.

I provide personalized nutrition recommendations, emphasizing locally sourced, phytonutrient-rich, pesticide-free foods, aimed at nourishing your body, mind and soul. Through a mix of my own experience with a variety of dietary journeys, education on integrative nutrition (with the Andrew Weil Center), and learning about the entrenched problems with our national food system, I’ve learned to navigate a balance between evidence-based integrative nutrition recommendations, listening to my own body’s needs, and being mindful of the impact my food choices have on the environment and world around me. Beginning with an exploration of your current relationship with food, we will build a manageable step-wise path towards bringing more joy and nourishment into your daily meals.

  • Through personal experience, I recognize the immense potential of free, spontaneous movement as a path for self-discovery and healing! We will develop personalized plans (for movement outside of our sessions) based on how you feel inspired to keep your body moving. We may incorporate mindful walking, yoga, swimming, dance, and/or other movement modalities to promote physical and mental well-being. By engaging in these practices mindfully, you can cultivate a deeper connection with your body and enhance your overall sense of wellness.

  • When indicated, I provide comprehensive laboratory assessments to identify potential underlying chemical imbalances and guide treatment planning. By analyzing individualized lab results, I tailor treatment approaches to address specific health concerns and optimize outcomes.

The Journey

Ready to Start? I am currently accepting new telehealth patients in Washington state!

  • Prior to scheduling a comprehensive consultation, I offer a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and determine if we are a good fit for working together.

  • Prior to your comprehensive consultation, I will send you a link to my patient portal, where you will complete multiple intake forms. I will review these in detail prior to our meeting, in order to make the most of our time together. This preparation will allow me to spend the first part of our session fully listening to your story—uninterrupted.

Moving forward, this patient portal will also be the hub for secure, private communication with me, sharing documents, requesting refills, scheduling appointments and joining virtual sessions.

  • During this session, I will actively listen to your story (having already reviewed your intake forms in depth). I will then ask clarifying question to better understand your medical history, current concerns and treatment goals. Towards the end of our session, I will share my initial clinical impression (including possible diagnoses) as well as potential areas of focus for treatment, while allowing space for your feedback. Then together, we will develop an initial personalized treatment plan to address your unique needs and promote your overall well-being with lifestyle adjustments. Generally, we will start with 1-3 changes at a time, in order to monitor your response to each treatment component. I may request you to obtain labs and/or fill out additional screening forms prior to our follow-up visit.

  • If indicated, I will order appropriate labs during your comprehensive consultation. Once complete, I will review the results thoroughly and discuss them with you (and any recommended adjustments to the treatment plan) at our next follow-up visit.

I may also request and review records from your past psychiatrists or therapists. Sometimes, I will speak with them directly about your previous (or current) care as well.

  • I offer two follow-up appointment lengths to suit your needs.

50-minute ($395) sessions are ideal for discussing progress, psychotherapy (including exploring insights gained from the process) and adjusting treatment as needed. We will continue to work collaboratively towards your goals, whether through psychotherapy, medication management and/or lifestyle changes~most likely in combination.

25-Minute ($275) sessions are designed for brief check-ins and medication adjustments. We will focus on ensuring that your medication regimen is effective and well-tolerated. We will address any concerns and make necessary modifications to optimize your treatment plan.

*Please note, in order to take more time during and in between visits to optimize your integrative treatment plan, I only accept cash pay (due by credit card at time of visit). I am, therefore, an out-of-network provider, meaning that I do not accept insurance or negotiate with insurance companies. I can provide a super bill, at your request, which you can submit to your insurance company to request partial reimbursement. However, I cannot guarantee that they will reimburse you for my fees.
